U.S. CENSUS BUREAU HIRING FIELD REPRESENTATIVES - AUTAUGA COUNTY, AL
The U.S. Census Bureau, Atlanta Regional Office is hiring Field Representatives (FRs) throughout Autauga County. Field Representatives work out of their homes and are reimbursed for mileage. They DO NOT work on Decennial Census operations. Applicants selected for these positions will be required to travel throughout their local area to conduct ongoing Census survey operations. There are two announcements listed. One for bilingual and one for non-bilingual applicants. You will only be considered for the job announcement you apply to. Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply to both announcements. Conducts interviews primarily in person (door to door) and when requested may conduct phone interviews to collect survey or census data as required within an assigned geographic area. Communicates with respondents, supervisors, and other persons as appropriate. Understands survey materials in order to explain the purpose of surveys, ask questions as worded on the questionnaire or survey instrument, and enters accurate and complete information into a laptop computer or onto survey forms. Maintains personal payroll records that reflect hours worked, miles driven, and reimbursements for travel and communications claimed. Completes and attends training as necessary in-person or online.
